The unit accepts platinum Pt elements in both 100-ohm and 1k-ohm varieties. It also supports 10k Type II and Type III thermistors. You can complete the cabling using two, three, or four-wire connections. The module supports communication over BACnet and Modbus via both the RS485 and Ethernet ports. All readings and settings remain available as BACnet objects and Modbus registers. Each sensor connects to a pluggable terminal block, allowing you to connect or disconnect sensors without disturbing adjacent connections.
The module provides twelve sensor channels. You can wire these sensors with three or four-wire connections to achieve instrument-grade readings over long distances. For shorter distances where accuracy is less critical, a standard two-wire connection works well for many applications. Please note that due to space limitations, channels 9 through 12 support up to three wires, while channels 1 through 8 accommodate 2, 3, or 4-wire connections.
The RS485 interface features two separate terminal blocks to simplify troubleshooting. Although these blocks share the same internal RS485 port, this design allows you to easily separate the network during commissioning. You can power the device using any convenient 12V to 24V AC or DC supply. The internal power supply utilizes half-wave rectification, enabling several devices to share the same transformer. Finally, a self-resetting fuse protects the unit against ground loops and over-voltage conditions.
