Description
RS485 Lightning Protector safeguards data communication systems by protecting four signal lines or two twisted-pair connections from lightning. It provides both high-energy and low-energy protection, ensuring coarse and fine protection for data lines against surges and lightning impact.
It provides fine line-to-line protection as well as line-to-ground protection for lines 1, 2 and 3, 4, effectively taking in and sending away the energy from lightning and surges. The grounding cable safely directs the excess energy into the earth, protecting sensitive electronic equipment from damage. The device protects all RS485 data and composite video signal transmission systems from over-voltage.
